Mandy started her equine career 32 years ago and has successfully competed in Eventing, Dressage and more recently Western Performance. Having been a Dressage and Hack judge, Mandy is aware of what it takes to succeed in your chosen discipline.

Having had a serious accident in 2002, Mandy underwent spinal surgery and had part of her spine fused, which not only left her with permanent nerve damage to her right leg, but also loosing her confidence around horses.

It took a few years to gain back her confidence but Mandy feels that this is an advantage as she now specialises in helping people overcome their fears. She also had to learn to ride all over again and due to not being able to lift her leg to the stirrup, taught her horse to lie down so that she was able to get on and ride again.

This experience led Mandy to look for a betterway of training horses, to make them safer and more responsive and so was born Betterway Equestrian Services.

Mandy has always dedicated her life to finding a betterway to communicate with horses and feels that whilst we all have a lot to learn about our equine friends and continues herself to learn and grow as a horsewoman, really feels that through her experience and understanding, can offer a comprehensive and easy to understand instruction and training program to both horse and rider.

It is imperative that we understand the fundamentals of a horse. If we truly wish to communicate and have a strong and successful relationship with these majestic animals then we need to understand their world, their thinking and their way of communicating.

We also need to teach them a bit of human to make the relationship complete. The easy to follow, comprehensive level 1-4 training program along with your dedication and want to succeed will have you creating that special partnership in no time.

I belive that through my methods you can create something remarkable. I believe that every horse and every rider are capable of acheiving great things if they have the right tools.

Feeding and nutrition, muscle therapy, farrier needs, teeth etc. We work with top professionals in their feild to assure that not only our own horses but also our students horses have access to the best.

We are available by email, internet and phone to offer complete support to our students and we also offer free information evenings on a number of different subjects, where you are invited to ask questions and get the correct information in a number of different area's pertaining to you and your horse.
